"Update 27th May 09 Well got home from work today 18:35. Had another parcel arrive. more exhaust wrap for manifold and some steel ties. So finished manifold off. Word of warning to anyone attempting this. Do it with manifold off!!!!!! And wear ty old clothes with some gloves. Glass fibres everywhere.. worth it in long run though.. And have managed to start the rebuild and get everything back in place ie radiator all pipes chargecooler and exhaust.... Fluids next..."

"Update 28th May 09.. Well after making a brief stop at Kenny_G's to have a coffee see new pad etc (was a little worse for on drive home too Cheers fella.. lol Got back to sorting RS whilst waiting for old oil to drain fitted new discs Fitted these and rechecked bolts/nuts etc... Think you'll all agree look loads better... And i'm sure alot of the lads will agree with this......Had that 'warm' feeling when you fit something new and it looks good..Or am i the only one???lol Then once all oil/water levels topped up thought i'd give engine a quick clean. Also now off axel stands both wheels on....Progress is GOOD "

Cheers Polo Different type. This is fibreglass based and helps keep the heat in. "

Cheers Polo Different type. This is fibreglass based and helps keep the heat in.
Yeah to much heat from things like the exhaust manifold can sap power. I have read that it can be up to 10%! Also keeping the hot exhaust gases inside the pipe increases flow slightly."

"Update 29th May 09.... Mahooooooooooooosive grin.......... Came home tonight with some fuel and booster pack...... all wheels back on terra firma. She sees the light of day.... She starts first turn of the key......We Like The back end... Couldn't resist...had to polish her... lol.. Took few for bonnet with lifters... Hopefully a better pic of engine bay. She's alive....... "
