Renault show camping important info

"Right those of you who arent camping ignore this however those that are this is whats happening this year (quite different to how it has been previous years) ok this year it is off site camping at a place called whittlebury park found at http://www.whittlebury.com which i have been informed is within walking distance to silverstone and has footpaths leading to the track. this year camping IS NOT FREE!! i can only assume this is due to the huge numbers that turned up last year. so this is how its going to work. i need everyone who is definatly coming and camping to inform us and give us the payment and i will reserve the plots (so we are all camping together) 1 CAMP-SITE PLOT is 6m x 7m and you must not go over that space (apparently) For a car and tent from friday till sunday it will cost £30 if paid in advance or to arrive saturday till sunday it will be 20pounds if paid in advance. the booking form is http://www.whittlebury.com/pp/uploads/2008_Booking_form.pdf but to camp with Modified-Enthusiasts it is advised to do the booking through us. any probs or questions post below. "a further thought is i dunno if anyone can find a camp site local that we could camp at (as obviously whittlebury will put high prices as ppl will normally pay it as its for a big event) just trying to find cheaper alturnatives for ppl really as i have a feeling now the campings not free alot will drop out "

well ill pay for camping. although i wont be in a tent!! so do i get it cheaper and will i be allowed to kip in my car?

yip ive tryed bantering with the woman tryed club discounts and alsorts however she said that it is 30 quid for a 6x7m plot and you can use of that how you please however you cant buy one plot and stick a 30man tent on it etc.

pmsl that was my next idea!! aslong as i can kip in car i dont care. and 6x7 is a large area.. u cud get 2 tents on 1 plot or is it £30 per person.

30 quid per plot thats it no spec on ppl camping there just as long as that plot is not more than 6x7

well we cud save money here in theory if 2 folk with a tent each or a car each go halfs on a plot n pitch on there!. or even a car n a tent lol ul only have to go halfs wont ya

oh yeh course (i believe a few are gonna share lifts etc)so they will pitch up etc anyways but yeh this could be a good idea for ppl to make it abit cheaper

not yet i was going to ring tomorrow so il ask for 4 plots were not really gonna be a massive group like but least it can be a mini meet!
