Clarkson said the Stig showed his face to the camera for the first time "in an atmosphere that you could cut with a knife". In his column in the Sun newspaper he said the shows director who has worked in television for 25 years said he had never seen anything like it. He added that "hardened emotionless camera crews said the hair on the back of their neck prickled". Clarkson added: "As a television moment its up there with Neil Armstrong walking on the...corpse of JR Ewing." He said Stigs identity would be a "staggering surprise" to viewers."

yeh it got revealed ages ago who he was so they are now guna put up a big thing about it and get a new stig i recon

anyone can put on that suit and helmet and walk in a studio and say its them doesnt mean it is

If people want to know who he is just get him to walk through Blackpool. Some chavs will rob his helmet within 20 seconds flat. New time-record?
