Playstation3 help! !

"Has anyone ever heard of ""yellow light"" on the PS3?? if so does anyone know how to fix it etc as it has happened to my brothers and its costs over _Ǭ£100 to send it back and get it fixed!! Can anyone give any advice or help? Thank you "

i'll ask my mate what it is ... he works on em all the time ..might just need a reset

"YLOD... Yes i've heard of it... Happened to my jap console it's not a case of a simple reset or evan new hard-drive. _Ǭ£150 to repair. I couldn't afford this so went and got new mobile contract with free PS3.. Happy daze."

i had 2 ps3 in 6 month and both broke - waste of money if u ask me

ok.. it's not so easy .. to fix it you have to strip it down to the board and then heat the chips directly .. till the solder re flows back into place .. it's a lot of work .. youtube has the vids to fix it .. search for PS3 YLOD fix ..
