The BMW 7 Series have been manufactured since 1977 and is a group of full-size luxury vehicles. The 7 Series is only available in the body shape of a 4 door sedan. There 5 generations of the 7 Series. These are the E23 manufactured from 1977-1986, the E32 manufactured from 1987-1994, the E38 manufactured from 1995-2001, the E65/E66 manufactured from 2002-2008 and the F01 manufactured from 2009 to present.
The later generations of the BMW 7 series have been fitted with several safety and security features. The windows are laminated windows and there is an emergency front windscreen exit. The windows are lowered. The models are fitted with a carbon fibre reinforced armour and under body armour. The later models also have a self parking system. This means the driver can stand outside the car whilst the internal robotics park the car using sensors fitted around the vehicle. The vehicles are fitted dual front, side and curtain airbags. There is also anti-whiplash head restraints, ABS traction and stability control fitted as standard on the later models.
There is enough room in the back to seat 3 passengers. However, it would be far more comfortable if there were only two passengers in the back. There is more room in the back if the longer wheel based model is chosen. There is plenty of head and shoulder room. There is also plenty of space in the boot for storage.
